WELCOME EVERYONE!
You have arrived at the website for the HWNA. This is a group of neighbors and friends who live and work in the "Historic
Westside" neighborhood of Longmont, Colorado.
We are a group of neighbors who meet for social events and to help get to know one another better. Our association pays no
dues, is not incorporated.
Our neighborhood is within the bounds of the original Chicago Colony of Longmont that is referred to around here as "Old Town".
We are fun-loving, active in our community, and most of all support neighbor-to-neighbor dialogue.

UPCOMING EVENTS: The HWNA Annual Ice Skating, Chili Cook-off Party and Annual Meeting, will be held on Sunday,
February 14, 2010. We will have discounted ice skating for all members at Roosevelt Park rink, and a chili cook-off. After
the cook-off will be the HWNA Annual Meeting, to elect new officers and to set the calendar for the 2010-11. For questions,

BIG NEWS! OUR 2009 HOLIDAY EVENT!!
The Historic Westside Neighborhood Association invites the public to the 5th Annual Historic Home, Art and Gift Tour,
10 AM to 4 PM, Saturday, December 5th. Longmont, and the West Side Neighborhood has a rich history, diverse architecture,
and enormous home-grown artistic talent, come celebrate our community!
DETAILS - See the work of local artists
in five area homes. Admission to all homes on the walking tour is $8 per person and starts either at 327 Pratt, 1102
3rd, or 615 Lincoln. Learn about the history of Longmont and the people that founded the Chicago-Colorado Colony. Proceeds
from the event benefit HOPE (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement), a local Longmont charity.
